Bhí áthas ar Uí Chonaill CLG páirt a ghlacadh i Seachtain na Gaeilge i mbliana. Chuir ár nOifigeach Gaeilge agus Cultúir nua do 2024, Adrian Conlon, roinnt frásaí úsáideacha 'as Gaeilge' ar fáil i rith na seachtaine, le húsáid ag ár mbaill timpeall an chlub. Glacadh go han-mhaith leis seo ar bhealaí meán sóisialta an chlub agus tá súil againn go spreagfaidh sé seo ár mbaill chun ‘cupla focal’ a chur san áireamh ina ngnáthamh laethúil agus cabhrú lenár dteanga náisiúnta fás agus rathú inár bpobal.
Gabhaimid buíochas ar leith le Conchúr Mag Eacháin agus Catherine Robinson as a gcabhair.
Cuimhnigh, is fearr Gaeilge bhriste ná Béarla cliste.
O'Connells GAC were delighted to partake in Seachtain na Gaeilge this year. Our incoming Irish and Culture Officer for 2024, Adrian Conlon, provided some useful phrases 'as Gaeilge' across the week, for our members to use around the club. Hopefully this will inspire our members to include 'cupla focal' in their daily routine and help our national language to grow and thrive in our community.
Thank you also to Conor McGahan and Catherine Robinson who assisted with the preparation of the material.
Remember, broken Irish is better than clever english.
