O’Connell’s GAC are hosting PIPS Hope and Support Officers to deliver SafeTALK Training to those within our community.
SafeTALK teaches you to recognise persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide intervention resources. It helps build skills and confidence necessary to recognise and assist individuals with thoughts of suicide.
SafeTALK prepares participants to activate a suicide alert by following the TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep Safe) steps.
Training will take place on Tuesday 15 October from 6.30pm - 9.30pm in O’Connell’s GAC.
If anyone wishes to secure a space on this FREE training, please text Aoifé O’Neill, Healthy Club Officer on 07748022059. Spaces are limited.
