🚴♂️ Liberators Tour – Information Evening 🚴♀️
🕗 8pm, Friday 30th January
📍 Community Centre
All welcome — cyclists, supporters, and anyone willing to help.
We are planning to organise a fundraising cycle event from the birthplace of Daniel O’Connell, after whom our club is proudly named, back to O’Connell Park.
The event is currently planned over three days (c. 290 miles), departing Carhan House near Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, on Thursday 6th August, and arriving back in Tullysaran on Saturday 8th August.
At this stage, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from anyone who would like to take part in what promises to be a challenging but extremely rewarding adventure. The event aims to raise much-needed funds to support the ongoing upkeep and development of facilities at O’Connell Park.
While this project is still at a very early planning stage, time is of the essence for getting involved — and most importantly, for getting those legs turning!
Please don’t be put off by the distances involved. A structured training plan will be developed for all participants to follow, regardless of experience, and this will be released in the not-too-distant future.
Participation in shorter legs of the journey will also be welcomed and can be accommodated.
In addition, for anyone who may not wish to cycle, support will be needed in other areas such as logistics, support driving, planning, and general organisation. All help, both on and off the bike, will be greatly appreciated.
