What a second half comeback from Tullysaran 13 points behind after Sarsfields got a goal with the first attack of the second half to win by 2 points.

Sarsfields with the aid of a slight breeze raced into a 5 point led before Daire Mallon got Tullysaran on the board with a free kick.
Sarsfields replied with 3 more points before Ciaran Mullen got Tullysaran’s second point.
Sarsfields who had plenty of possession and made it count scoring 2 goals and 2 points while The home side managed 3 points from Mark Mc Kenna ( 2 ) and one from Conor Trainor but 10 points was deficit at half time.

Tullysaran needed a good start to the second half but were rocked when Sarsfields got a goal with only 30 seconds played.
Tullysaran 13 points down faced a mountain but they never gave up and set about reducing the wide margin Gavin Conlon fired over a point quickly followed by a 2 pointer from James Conlon.
Gavin Conlon converted a free kick and Sarsfields also scored from a free kick this proved to be their final score of the game.
The Tullysaran comeback started with a long range shot from James Madden dipped under the crossbar for a goal which lifted their spirits, Daire Mallon shot over a long range 2 pointer and James Conlon added a similar to leave 3 points the margin.
Tullysaran were in full control and picked off points at regular intervals James Conlon, Eddie Mallon and the equaliser from sub Ryan Conlon.
It was all to play for and James Conlon came up with his third 2 pointer of the night to put Tullysaran in the lead for the first time to the delight of the home supporters although the away team tried to hit back the Tullysaran lads held out for a famous victory the clubs first win in senior football 👏🏻👏🏻

Silverbridge vs Tullysaran

Tullysaran were caught out by two late goals having been in front with 5 minutes to go.
The teams traded 2 points at the start, Tullysaran’s  coming from Gavin Conlon and Daire Mallon
Silverbridge got the next 3 points, Daire pulled one back before another point for the home side.
James Conlon hit a 2 pointer but again Silverbridge replied with 2 points of their own.
Gavin conlon added 2 more points but the home team also got 2.

Tullysaran 0-07

Tullysaran hit a purple patch at the start of the second half scoring the first 5 points to lead by 2, Daire Mallon 1, Gavin Conlon a single and a 2:pointer and a point from Conor Trainor but once again the home team got back level with 2 points.
Gavin Conlon gave Tullysaran the lead again but it was cancelled out 13 points each.
Daire Mallon pointed a free kick to give Tullysaran  the lead with 5 minutes to go but Silverbridge hit back with a goal quickly followed by another goal from a penalty kick and a 2 pointer to leave 7 points the winning margin.

Clan na Gael vs Tullysaran

Tullysaran 1-14.


This game was switched to Davitt pk due to the home venue being too wet.
Clan na gael played with the aid of a stiff breeze in the first half but Eddie Mallon gave Tullysaran the lead on 5 mins with a point, Clans replied with the next 2 points before Gavin Conlon levelled up the game.
Clans had a good spell and recorded a further 4 points .
Ryan Conlon got a point back but clans got 5 more points to a single point from ciaran mullen to leave a 7 point margin between the teams at half time.

Tullysaran now had the wind at their backs and Daire Mallon shot over a 2 pointer followed by a similar from Gavin Conlon, Clans got 2 points back then came the score of the game a great passing movement ended up with Barry Toner placing his shot to the corner of the Clans net and only 2 points separated the sides shortly afterwards Daire Mallon fired over a 2 pointer to level the game before Gavin Conlon converted a free kick to give Tullysaran the lead again Clans hit back with the next 2 points before Gavin Conlon hit another 2 pointer just on full time clans equalised but Ronan Mallon fired over a point in the 4th minute of injury time and it looked like a famous victory but alas Clans got level with the very last kick

Dromintee vs Tullysaran

FT Dromintee 2-16
Tullysaran 4-10.

Tullysaran played with a gale force wind but it was Dromintee who recorded the first 2 points of the match.
Ryan Conlon made history by being the first Tullysaran player to register a score in senior football with a well taken point that was quickly followed by a 2 pointer from Gavin Conlon and Tullysaran were ahead - then things got even better when the home full back misjudged a high ball and Eddie Mallon swooped to shoot to the net, he followed with a point shortly afterwards.
Gavin Conlon and Mattie Kernan added another two points before Dromintee got their third point.
Tullysaran finished the half with two long range 2 pointers from Caolan Harvey and Gavin Conlon to leave 10 points between the sides at half time.

HT Dromintee 0-03
Tullysaran 1-10.


Tullysaran knew that they had to play into the even stronger breeze in the second half and their lead was soon cut to just 3 points Dromintee getting 4 points and then a goal.
A great individual goal from Gavin Conlon kept their noses in front but once again the home team replied with 3 more points.
Tullysaran were surviving on scraps but were awarded a penalty which Gavin Conlon dispatched to the net.
6 points ahead with about 5 minutes to go but Dromintee hit 3 x 2 pointers and the game was tied.
Dromintee were awarded a penalty in injury time which they scored and it looked like defeat for Tullysaran but they fought to the end and were given a close in free kick , the Dromintee men lined the goals and blocked Gavin Conlons shot but it rebounded to Daire  Mallon who blasted to the net and the game finished in a draw.
